VBS - Day 2

I'm loving this year's theme--so fun!

VBS - Day 1

I'm not teaching a class this year for VBS, with Micah's young age and nursing him.  I really miss my 3rd and 4th grade boys class--missed them two years in a row. = (  But, they do have a fabulous teacher this year who is really enjoying them--shout out to Jennifer B!  In the absence of my mother (Mrs. Robin's probably mentioned a dozen times how she wishes you were around, Mom...), Mrs. Robin asked me to take pictures.  I also decided to take on feeding lunch to their family in addition to my own.  These roles have kept me pretty busy this week. The first few days Ivory was pretty congested so I kept her out of her class in case she was contagious.  I could keep her out of her class, but not away from the many, many church members who love her! =)  Yes, I'm working hard to keep her from becoming "one of those pks (preacher's kid)..." There are so many stinkin' cute kiddos here this week that I just had to include pics of them here in addition to my own kiddos.

Papasan Swing

My Aunt Nancy bought this swing for Ivory and now we get to use it with Micah!  Thanks again, Aunt Nancy.  You're precious to us!

Fun with Aunt Mel

Jason's younger sister, Melissa, came to visit for a few days.  We were thrilled to have here and hated to see her go.

Dinner with Friends

Friday night we enjoyed a delicious dinner with good friends--thanks Melissa for the delish chicken quesadillas with all the fixings.
Our girls, Addie & Ivory, are getting so big!
Addie pleasantly surprised us by greeting Ivory by name at the door.
The wonderful dads
Melissa is such a good mom.  I'm delighted to be a mom alongside her.

Busted

Ivory's first busted lip

She fell at church and I'm guessing she bit her lip while going down.  Here it is the next day.  She's really tore up about it as you can see...

Wedding

Saturday we enjoyed attending the wedding of a childhood friend of mine, Jonathan.  We were delighted to be apart of him and his bride's special day.  The excessive amount of pictures is for my mom & sister who were unable to attend but begged me to take lots of pictures for them and wish the new couple all the best.

Fresh from the Garden

Lovin' us some homegrown summer veggies given by sweet people in our church ( - the baby carrots)

Last two green beans from our garden

Ivory and I enjoyed making some homemade macaroni and cheese (delish recipe from my sister, Sherri).

BOBT :: Before Oil Beach Trip

Talk about one hot daddy!
He gets hotter every time I see him with our children.
Little man enjoyed his first beach trip...via tent.
No more pictures please!
So in my love with my little man...though I don't think he was too impressed with my loving.
And then I entertained myself with self-portraits while the rest of the crew swam in the waves.
Kisses to the one I love!  (Yes, that's you, sweetheart--Jason love)
Love feeling the sand between my toes
And Ivory, of course, led her Bobo around the entire time.
There was a playground on the beach we also enjoyed...and yes, all but the 2 chairs & umbrella--that's our stuff.  With each child the stuff multiplies...
The beach was nice and busy and beautiful...
