Christmas at Home

Christmas Eve
We celebrated our Christmas Eve the day before Christmas Eve and Christmas on Christmas Eve day. We did this because we arrived at Jason's parents Christmas Eve and were with them on Christmas day.

Christmas from the wise man's camel's point of view. Super cute. We've decided to start a tradition of buying a Christmas story every year for our children that they open on Christmas Eve and we'll read it together. Up until Christmas we'll read books we bought the previous years.

Christmas Day

Jason bought me the sweetest gift ever. I opened a small box (good things definitely come in small packages!) to find a lovely piece of jewelry. I began crying when he told me that it's a piece of ivory. It took him six months to track this piece of ivory down, design the setting, and get it made by the jeweler. So, many months and "secret" meetings later...here it is. Too bad the picture doesn't do it justice. It's beautiful.

Christmas with Friends

We celebrated Christmas with our pastor and his daughter on Monday. They're our Wewa family. We had delicious food, great fellowship, and fun gifts!

Ivory getting her presents from Brother Mike, Mrs. Robin & Cassie.

Ivory wasn't too sure what to think about the sticker. She kept trying to flick it off her hand.

Jason received a marshmallow blaster...he enjoys it entirely too much...

Cassie trying her hand at it.

Laundry

Ivory helped with the laundry this morning!

Baby Einstein

Ivory's grandpa definitely spoils her. He bought her an entire set of Baby Einstein movies for Christmas.

Here she is in the swing they bought her enjoying her first Baby Old MacDonald movie.

She was completely tuned in kicking her legs, smiling, and cooing with delight.

Daily Happenings

We went for a walk on Friday and apparently Ivory found it rather tiring. I am continually amazed by the variety of positions Ivory sleeps in.

New noise!

Christmas Gathering

We went to the pastor's house on Thursday evening to celebrate a little Christmas, spend time with, and pray for Christina & Nate as they prepare to leave for Asia Sunday on a missions trip. They'll be there over Christmas. We're really proud of them and are praying for their safety and boldness as they see to share Christ with those who are lost. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas! Must admit, Jason and I are slightly jealous. We're glad we can spend Christmas with family, but wow, missions is so awesome. Hope we can go soon!

Ivory & Noel became aquainted with Meme supervising.

Ivory spent some time with Poppa.

Ivory enjoyed opening her present from Meme & Poppa--a Bible devotional for preschoolers!

Apparently the tissue paper tasted great!

Work

These are a few pictures of where Ivory and I spend a lot of our time during the week--the church office where I'm a part time secretary.

Had to get a picture of her sporting a dress her Momma made, the sweater from Uncle Ben & Aunt Debi & the headband/bow from Aunt Mel--thanks ya'll!

Ivory loves all the attention she gets in the office. She's been doing an especially good job of entertaining herself as she's getting older. She also entertains us with her noises and smiles. She loves when our pastor, Brother Mike, takes her on walks all around the church as he runs errands. She also enjoys Mrs. Robin (pastor's wife) and Mrs. Melanie (main secretary) hugs and attention. The swing from Grandpa and Grandma is extremely helfpul for entertainment and nap times at work--thanks Mom & Dad!

Christmas Present

We decided to get a recycable tree this year. Why cut down a live tree that will die when you can buy a live one to plant and live? Yes, it looks rather Charlie Brownish, but I just love it. Now if only we can find a spot to plant it...any ideas?

Cassie played with Ivory while we decorated.

Ivory wanted to eat the lights.

Who could ask for a better present?
