Thanskgiving Day

Looking through my camera I see that I actually took pictures on something other than my cell phone!  So, I decided Thanksgiving day has now earned a post all to itself.

Debi and I had this great idea to do themed Thanksgiving decor. A more stylized Thanksgiving with special details. We shared our enthusiasm with Sherri--who took and ran with it. And Debi and I promptly overbooked ourselves and did nothing decor wise. So...thank you, Sherri! We love it. Our family and friends all begin arriving around 10am. We set out hors d'oeuvres and everyone snacks and chats and cooks and washes dishes until the big meal around 2pm.

So exciting as each person arrives!   Especially when you're four and it's your cousin Bella who you haven't seen in a month.

Sherri, Micah, Alex.
Once Uncle Ray arrives the frying of the turkey commences. There are so many of us we actually have a baked turkey (my sister, Sherri, did an amazing job), the fried turkey (yum!) and some wonderful roasted turkey breasts by my Uncle Monte.

My silly ones. Back-up has arrived. My great Aunt Betty can always be counted on to wash lots of dishes! My mom fills in all the gaps.
Debi, Carter, Jason, Korban.
This year we were excited to meet Rachel's new baby boy--Brinley. So cute!
Ivory, Larissa, Debi.

Baby B, Sherri, Ben, Larissa
The official turkey fryers + Sherri. My dad, his Uncle Ray, and my sister, Sherri. Turkey frying takes man skills.
Alex, Lee Ann
Every year our dear friends (family to us), the Tabacks, join us at Thanksgiving. Uncle Monte, Aunt Nancy, Rachel, and Michael. Sadly, for the first time Michael couldn't join us this year because he had to work. =( We did get to meet Rachel's boyfriend, though, which was great. Aunt Nancy's mom, Mrs. Sigoloff, always joins us, too. A beautiful woman. Friends since grade school. Love Florida weather. Uncle Monte excited to show off his new iPhone5.
Thankful for this man.

Apparently Ivory's cup of berries *needed* water.
With my Great Uncle Ray
Uncle Ben and Larisssa with her great, great, great Uncle Ray.

Micah talking to his great, great, great Uncle Ray.

And of course, there must be football. For those who like that sort of thing.
The feasting begins!

We were so glad that my brother Jeff, his wife Monica, and their son Cameron could join us this year!  They somehow managed to escape the paparazzi...so I'm grateful Mom insisted on this grandkid picture.  I love how it shows their personalities.
