Ivory found it fun to drum on the table while waiting for our pediatrician to come in to see Micah's ear where we discovered that yes indeed it was infected.  Ivory + Micah also thought it was fun to play hide-n-seek behind the exam table.  Glad Korban could be so delightfully entertained. After the visit we stopped at Target, dropped off our prescription + did a little shopping.  Goldfish were on sale by quite a bit so we picked out like at least six different kinds.  After arriving at home, attempting nap time, we headed to the church gym for some playtime. While in the backyard we discovered a little bird who had fallen/been pushed out of her tree. Love my boys. Outdoor fun. Ivory, "Will you take a picture of me and send it to Nana?  She will say I'm so pretty!"  She then proceeds to extend the list of who else should be texted the pictures.  Donut shop fun. Ivory + Daddy went to a wedding.  Before the wedding Daddy + Ivory had a little photo op.

Enjoying our new gifted swingset! Slides are meant for sliding + climbing, right? Climbing fun! Micah + Mommy enjoying the swingset. Daddy is our hero. He put together our set + screws in handles to help the kids climb better.

Outside Water Play

We *love* our new swingset.  We decided to make it extra exciting by adding the best ingredient: water!

As you can see the anticipation is quite thrilling. Ivory + Micah = mischevious...especially when together The water did make the slide a awfully fast. Ivory convinced Mommy to join the water fun.  Well, it didn't take much convincing--it looked too fun to miss!
Micah wasn't too sure about being muddy, "Mess!  Mess!" Ivory loves making silly faces for the camera with Mommy. And if Ivory loves it then Micah is certain it must be fun. Micah adores his rake. When the hose becamse dull we switched to sprinkler play. And when that excitement wore off we moved on to dirty water buckets.  Mud = coffee + chocolate milk
Korban took it all in with reserved excitement. 
Such a fun day!  Thank you God for the gift of our swingset + water and thank you daddy for putting it together.

My New Friend

An unfortunate event led some old college friends to our town for the day.  While we were sad for the event we were happy to see our friends and their cute kiddos.  We even got to watch them for a few hours--so fun.

Lottie = 18 months: Very sweet, quiet + fast, this one.  Korban loved watching all the excitement.  Princess Eva + Princess Ivory were like two peas in a pod and became immediate friends.  Eva kept referring to Ivory as, "My new friend."  So cute.    Dressing up, digging in dirt, running, swinging, climbing, tricycling, berry picking, etc.  So much fun. While I love kiddos I was slightly overwhemled by an afternoon of five children 3 and under so I roped in sweet Lyndsey to help me for a few hours.  While the kids were super good her help was invaluable! Snacks were also a favorite.  What a cutie, right?
We just hate they live so far away and were sad to say goodbye.  Hopefully it won't be too long before the "new friends" can play again!

Korban Growth

Korban will be 7 months in only 6 days.  Can you believe it?  He loves standing (with help), falling out of his bumbo seat, bouncer, and baby swing (we don't really let him...but he sure knows how to manuever out of nearly all our baby equipment).  He still knows how to win hearts with his quick smile + sweet cuddles.  Korban is a long and lean eating machine.  He sure loves his milk and immediately embraced eating pureed squash + sweet potatoes with great fervor.  Bumbo seat eating was rather challenging.

So we graduated to the booster seat.  He looks like such a big boy in the booster seat eating his baby food.
Just this morning I went to get him out of his crib and saw him rocking back and forth on his knees.  Won't be long now!  Yay for crawling!

Garden Vegetables

We are loving our fresh grown garden vegetables from church members + daddy's garden.

Fresh squash, zucchini, green beans, chives, herbs, kale, lettuce--delish.  Using these fresh veggies to make baby food with my fancy shmancy blender + freezing it for sweet baby.

Children-Led Sunday Service

Once a year the children lead our church service.  It's one of my favorite Sundays of the year.  A reminder that children aren't only the future church, they are the church.  The body of Christ is made up of Christians of all ages and all have something important to offer to God's Kingdom.

Here the girls are giving the announcements + leading us in prayer. Katie did an amazing job leading the singing...watch our Jason you might be soon replaced!  I love this picture because here is just *half* of the preschool teachers it takes to get the kids on the stage and keep them there.  So grateful for our wonderful preschool workers. Ivory did THE BEST job singing + signing that she's ever done.  Her enthusiasm made this Momma awfully proud.  Micah, well, he looked adorable.  Standing.  On his dot.  Quiet obediently.  With his finger in his little mouth.   Not singing, but standing very cutely. 
We have precious preschoolers.  This poor little girl suffered a few light punches from Micah...sorry it's little boy languge for "I like you."

Mrs. Robin does an *incredible* job leading our children.  I have never heard a more precious version of The Revelation song then I heard this children's choir sing on Sunday morning. The worship gave a slight glimpse of what heaven's worship will be like and made me long for it.

 

The children did announcements, quoted scriptures, shared testimonies (salvation + discipleship), sang songs, led singing, shared the gospel, played piano, took up offering, ran powerpoint and overall did an *amazing* job leading us to the throne in worship. I could sense the Spirit in our midst and was led to tears more then once. Love seeing the younger generation in our church leading us in worship.
